Canton Fair 2024 Recap: What European Buyers Asked For
October 2024 marked our ninth Canton Fair, and the questions from buyers were sharper than ever — most visitors arrived with a clear product plan and a supplier checklist.
The dominant theme was sustainability: buyers asked about material origin, recycled packaging and certification before they asked about price. Wood and bamboo constructions led all enquiries.
The second theme was customization depth — not just a logo, but custom bristle mixes, handle profiles and unboxing experiences. Brands want a product that cannot be found on a competitor shelf.
MOQ flexibility came up in nearly every conversation. Our answer — stock models with low minimums alongside custom tooling projects — converted several first-time visitors into sample orders.
If you are attending a trade show this year, bring a brief that answers three questions: who is your customer, what is your price band, and which certifications do you need. That is what separates a productive meeting from a handshake.
