How 2020 Changed Our Factory: Adaptation and the Rise of Home Care
2020 was the strangest year in our factory's history. Trade shows were cancelled, flights stopped, and yet order flow — after a two-month pause — came back stronger than before.
The driver was home care. With salons closed and routines moving into bathrooms, demand for body brushes, scalp massagers and wooden combs grew sharply across Europe and North America.
We adapted our sales process entirely online: video factory walkthroughs replaced visits, samples moved by express courier with photo verification, and design approval happened over shared documents.
The lesson that stuck was resilience through communication — buyers who kept a simple, honest line of updates shipped on time, while quieter projects drifted. We now publish weekly production updates to every active order.
For suppliers and buyers alike, 2020 proved that a clear product line, flexible minimums and direct communication outweigh any single channel.
