OEM Hair Brush Development: From Brief to First Shipment in 7 Steps

Buyers often ask us what a typical OEM project looks like. Over a decade of manufacturing, the process has settled into seven clear steps that take roughly 35–45 days for a standard wood brush.

Step one is the brief: target market, price band, quantity and any reference photos. Step two is material selection — we recommend natural beech, bamboo or wheat straw based on your budget and positioning.

Steps three and four are sampling and approval: we make a physical sample with your exact bristle configuration, logo method (debossing, laser or silk printing) and packaging mock-up, and iterate until you approve.

Production runs after deposit and sample sign-off, with in-line QC checks at cutting, drilling, tufting and finishing. Most orders ship 15–25 working days after approval, complete with carton marking and full export documentation.

The biggest lever for speed and cost is preparation: having a clear brief and approving samples quickly can cut total lead time by a third.
