From Bamboo Cane to Brush Handle: Our Manufacturing Process
Bamboo has become our most requested handle material, and the manufacturing process explains why it performs so well at a competitive cost.
It starts with harvesting 3–5 year old canes from managed plantations. The cane is split, flattened and kiln-dried to a precise moisture content so it will not crack or warp later.
Strips are then cut and CNC-profiled into handle shapes — from slim paddle silhouettes to ergonomic massage handles. The natural grain means no two handles are identical, which is a feature buyers love.
Surface finishing uses water-based lacquer or natural oil, depending on the desired sheen. We then drill bristle holes, insert tufts and dress the brush by hand.
Bamboo's advantages are practical: it grows quickly, is naturally antibacterial, and feels warm and light in the hand. For brands, it also tells a strong sustainability story with visible material honesty.
